Power & torque calibration

Performance you can use, not numbers built for a headline.

Custom petrol and diesel ECU files developed around the original software, engine specification, fuel system, turbocharger and real application.

Application first

The right gain depends on what you are tuning.

A percentage does not know the condition of the engine, the turbo fitted, the transmission limit or whether the vehicle pulls a trailer every day. That context belongs in the calibration brief.

BLAG develops the file from the supplied original and modifies the relevant maps as a coordinated system. The goal is stronger, smoother performance that respects the declared hardware and use.

Stage 01

Stage 1

For standard or near-standard hardware. The calibration targets a balanced increase in usable torque, power and response while remaining within the agreed mechanical scope.

  • Turbo and naturally aspirated applications where supported
  • Torque delivery coordinated with ECU monitoring
  • Throttle and drivability refinement
  • Passenger, commercial and working vehicles
Stage 02

Stage 2

For vehicles with defined supporting modifications. Every hardware change must be listed so the software can be developed around the actual airflow, fuel and exhaust configuration.

  • Modified intake or exhaust systems
  • Upgraded intercooling or boost hardware
  • Transmission torque considerations
  • Application-specific limiter strategy
Stage 03

Stage 3

For extensively modified builds using upgraded turbochargers, injectors, pumps or other major components. A complete specification and professional validation process are essential.

  • Hybrid or larger turbocharger
  • Injector and fuel-system changes
  • Custom torque model requirements
  • Specialist workshop or motorsport projects

Petrol calibration

Sharper response without losing control.

Boost, ignition, fuel, torque requests and protection strategies must work together. We shape the calibration around the engine and its declared hardware rather than chasing a single peak figure.

  • Progressive boost and torque request
  • Ignition and fuelling coordination
  • Throttle-response refinement
  • Modified turbo projects where supported

Diesel calibration

Torque where the vehicle can use it.

Diesel calibration is about more than raising boost or fuel quantity. Rail pressure, injection, air control, torque structure and smoke limitation must remain coherent under load.

  • Usable mid-range torque
  • Load and transmission considerations
  • Controlled fuelling and air strategy
  • Industrial, commercial and passenger applications

Before ordering

A serious performance file needs a serious specification.

Include with the original read

  • Exact vehicle, engine, ECU and HW/SW identification
  • Reading tool and read method
  • Complete hardware and fuel specification
  • Transmission type and relevant modifications
  • Intended use and desired behaviour
  • Existing symptoms, DTCs or mechanical concerns
