Useful support begins with reproducible evidence. Keep every message in the original portal job and identify exactly which file was written, with which tool and under which operating condition.
Before asking for a revision
- Confirm that the delivered file, not another version, is installed.
- Record the exact file name, writing tool and procedure.
- Scan all relevant control units and provide full DTC numbers.
- Describe when the symptom occurs: RPM, gear, load, temperature and duration.
- Attach the requested logs with channel names and units.
- Confirm mechanical checks and any hardware changes made after delivery.
Actionable versus vague feedback
“P0234 occurs in fourth gear at 2,100 rpm under full load; attached boost request/actual log.”
“No power” or “does not work” without codes, logs, file identity or operating context.
Scope boundaries
A correction can address the agreed software scope when evidence shows that the delivered calibration requires review. It cannot repair a mechanical fault, compensate for undeclared hardware, validate a different file, or guarantee a result that was never part of the brief. Pricing, credits, response times and revision eligibility are governed by the portal terms and the confirmed job; this page does not invent an SLA.
Protect version history
Keep the untouched original, delivered file and every subsequent revision separately. Do not overwrite them with another supplier’s file. Version discipline protects recovery and lets the calibrator compare the correct state.
Continue inside the existing job
Do not open duplicate requests for the same issue. Add the evidence to the original portal thread.
Frequently asked questions
What should a support request include?
Exact file name, tool, ECU identity, DTCs, repeatable operating condition, requested logs and completed mechanical checks.
Does support repair mechanical faults?
No. Mechanical, sensor, wiring, fuel, boost, cooling and transmission faults require diagnosis and repair.
Should I open a new job for a revision?
Keep revision evidence in the original job unless the portal specifically instructs otherwise.
