DPF Calibration Support for Permitted Applications

DPF-related ECU file assessment for supported and legally permitted applications, with diagnosis and intended use reviewed first.

DPF faults require diagnosis. Soot loading, ash accumulation, differential-pressure measurement, temperature sensors, regeneration conditions, engine faults and the physical filter state must not be treated as the same problem.

Diagnose before requesting software work

  • Record complete DTCs and freeze-frame data.
  • Check pressure sensor pipes, plausible differential pressure and wiring.
  • Review exhaust-temperature sensors and regeneration history.
  • Distinguish calculated soot from non-combustible ash.
  • Check engine faults that create excessive soot.
  • Confirm the filter and exhaust hardware condition.

Legal and application boundary

Emissions-control requirements vary by jurisdiction and vehicle category. On-road tampering can be prohibited and can affect inspection, insurance, registration, warranty and public health. BLAG only considers supported uses permitted by applicable law. The customer must identify the country, vehicle category and intended use; “off-road” or “export” is not an automatic legal exemption.

Repair first

Sensor, wiring, engine and filter faults require the appropriate physical repair.

Exact ECU data

Original software, HW/SW, codes and system configuration are required.

Declared use

Country, vehicle category and application must be stated honestly.

Right to decline

An unsupported or unlawful request should not proceed.

What this service does not promise

It does not make an illegal road application lawful, repair a damaged filter, solve an engine that produces excessive soot or remove the need for professional validation. Where a compliant repair or regeneration route exists, that should be considered first.

Prefer a compliant physical remedy

Where applicable, repair sensors or wiring, correct the engine fault that creates soot, clean or replace the filter using an approved method and perform the manufacturer procedure. After any supported work, scan the complete aftertreatment system and confirm plausible pressure and temperature behaviour in a controlled test. Keep evidence of the vehicle category, intended use and repair. Do not describe a software change as a cleaned or repaired filter, and do not use warning-lamp status alone as proof that the system is healthy or compliant.
